How It Happened
- The Dukes got on the board early, as Collins netted a goal in the sixth minute after receiving a cross from Mohammed. The assist for Mohammed made it four straight matches recording a point, the first time a Duke has accomplished the feat since Haley Crawford in 2019.
- In the 12th minute, freshman Jeanette Fieldsend sent a through ball to Attanasi who took the goalkeeper on 1-on-1 before taking a shot that went right over Makenna Garcia for a goal.
- Mohammed added a goal onto her point total in the 21st minute, finding the back of the net off a deflected free kick.
- JMU had chances from Attanasi in the 17th minute and graduate Ali Kalayjian in the 35th minute, but both shots caromed off the crossbar.
- Collins returned the favor to Mohammed in the 54th minute, sending a cross to Mohammed to connect for a goal. The score was Mohammed's first career brace, and it was the first time Collins had assisted on two goals in the same match.
