MADISON, Wis. –
Katherine Lawson ran a personal best of 20:55.0 in the Women's 6K "B" Race at the Zimmer Championship Course on Saturday afternoon at the Wisconsin Pre-Nationals.
Lawson's performance helped the Dukes place 24th out of 29 teams with 609 points (17-95-160-168-169). Washington State tallied 77 points (2-7-13-25-30) for the team win, followed by Air Force (148) and Vanderbilt (176).
Junior
Sofia Terenziani was the second JMU runner to finish, placing 95th in a season-best 22:02.6. Sophomore
Alayna Gifford crossed in a personal-best 23:12.9 for 160th, followed by freshman
Kylie Brooks (168th – 23:30.4) and sophomore
Sarah Cestare (169th – 23:32.9).
