Katherine Lawson paced the James Madison cross country team with a 6K time of 22:34.6 as the Dukes placed 24 out of 34 scoring teams at the NCAA Southeast Regional on Friday morning at Winthrop Farm.

James Madison tallied 725 points (93-115-156-178-183), behind 23rd-place Norfolk State. NC State (1st – 60, 1-3-9-19-28) and Virginia (2nd – 85, 5-6-21-24-29) earned automatic bids to the NCAA Championships. The Wolfpack's Grace Hartman took home the individual title in 20:04.2
