Vitolo Tabbed as Sun Belt Diver of the Week

NEW ORLEANS – James Madison sophomore Kate Vitolo was tabbed as the Sun Belt Conference Diver of the Week, the league announced on Thursday morning.

Vitolo competed at the West Virginia Invitational on Nov. 20-22, winning the 3-meter board before finishing second on the 1-meter.

After earning a score of 262.10 in the prelim of the 3-meter, Vitolo increased her score by 38.25 points in the final to win the event. Her finals score of 300.35, an NCAA Zone qualifying score, was 22.05 points ahead of the second-place score. She then placed second on the 1-meter board with a score of 252.85, improving her prelim score once again.
