THE CHASE FOR THE SUN BELT
After completing a 28-win regular season, James Madison earned the No. 2 seed of the Sun Belt Conference Men's Basketball Championship.
By finishing in the top four of the conference standings, the Dukes earned a double-bye into the quarterfinal round where they are set to play No. 10 seed Marshall.
Tip-off is scheduled for 8:30 p.m. ET at the Pensacola Bay Center.
 HERD TRACKING
No. 10 Marshall took down No. 7 Georgia State in the second round of the Sun Belt Championship, 86-74, on Thursday night.
The Thundering Herd snapped their seven-game losing streak in the victory to improve to 13-19 overall. During the regular season, the Dukes took both games from Marshall – a 67-52 win in Harrisonburg on Jan. 20 and an 84-58 win in Huntington on Feb. 21.
 DUKES SEEK REVENGE
The Dukes were bounced in the semifinal round of the Sun Belt Championship last season, as No. 8 seed South Alabama upset the fourth-seeded Dukes.
JMU started the 2023-24 campaign on a 14-game win streak, and bookended the season by finishing on a 10-game win streak.
The Dukes are the only NCAA Division I team with multiple winning streaks of 10 or more games this season. Indiana State had streaks of 10 and nine, but neither of those streaks are still active.
 WHAT'S AT STAKE
The Dukes look to continue their historic season and make a run in the Sun Belt postseason.
The winner of this game will face the winner of No. 3 Troy and No. 11 Texas State in Sunday's semifinals.
JMU is 6-2 versus the Herd in the history of the matchup.
