Dukes Set to Welcome JMU Nation at Bridgeforth Saturday for Spring Game

HARRISONBURG, Va. – James Madison caps off its spring football practice on Saturday, April 20 when it hosts the annual Spring Game at Bridgeforth Stadium.
Kickoff is slated for a 2:30 p.m. start, and admission is free for all spectators. Fans are encouraged to enter through Gates A and B, as well as the Godwin Breezeway, which opens at 1 p.m. General parking is available in the Champions Deck, and tailgating will be available in Lots P, F and G beginning at 10 a.m.
Though JMU's walkthrough metal detectors and clear-bag policy will not be in effect, there will be a bag check station at all entrances.
The 2024 Spring Game will be played with four quarters. The first half will have regulation stoppage with 15 minutes in the first and 10 minutes in the second. The second half will comprise of two 10-minute, rolling clock quarters. Halftime will be 10 minutes long, as the Marching Royal Dukes will perform during the break. There will also be compete periods at the end of each quarter.
The teams will feature offense (white jersey) versus defense (purple jersey). This year's Spring Game will also feature a scoring system.
Offense can accumulate points through normal scoring methods:
Touchdown – 6
PAT/Extra Point – 1
2-Point Conversion – 2
Field Goal – 3
Defense earns points based on stops, turnovers and defensive scores:
Forced Punt – 1
Missed Field Goal – 1
Sack – 2
Three-and-Out – 3
Turnover Forced – 5
Defensive Touchdown - 10
Concessions and alcohol sales will be available on the lower concourse through the conclusion of the third quarter.
Following the game, fans are invited onto the game field for post-game autographs with coaches and players.
Additionally, members of the JMU Athletics Ticket Office will be on hand at the Guest Services Booth on the lower concourse to answer any questions as it relates to 2024 season tickets renewals. The Duke Club Priority Deadline for the 2024 renewals is May 15.
