Offense Walks Off with Thrilling 30-29 Win in Spring Game

HARRISONBURG, Va. – The term compete has been used around the James Madison football program ever since Head Coach Bob Chesney arrived on campus, and Saturday's Spring Game proved to showcase that.
In a game that would be decided on the final play, the Offense scored a touchdown and converted a two-point conversion in the final moments to walk off with a 30-29 win against the Defense at Bridgeforth Stadium.
The Spring Game featured five lead changes, and Team Offense accounted for 423 total yards, with 243 passing and 180 rushing without a single lost fumble lost or interception. The defense was aided by three turnovers on downs and a pair of three-and-outs while registering two sacks and six pass breakups.

The Spring Game concluded JMU's spring practice, as the team looks ahead to summer workouts and preparing for the 2024 season. JMU opens next season on Saturday, Aug. 31 at Charlotte.
