PHOENIX, Az. – James Madison once again continued excellence in the classroom, as five women's tennis student-athletes were named ITA Scholar-Athletes, while the program was recognized as an All-Academic Team for the 2023-24 school year, the Intercollegiate Tennis Association announced.

Taking home ITA Scholar-Athlete honors were redshirt senior
Cate Broerman, sophomore
Hayley Glen and
Daria Munteanu and juniors
Hope Moulin and
Alexandra Prudente. This marked the 16th straight year the women's tennis program had at least one Scholar-Athlete.
As a team, the Dukes achieved All-Academic Team status for the 12th straight year, dating back to 2013. For Thomas, who finished his first year at the helm, this is his third All-Academic Team as a head coach, joining the 2017 and 2018 Omaha men's tennis teams.

To be eligible for the awards, Scholar-Athletes must possess at least a 3.5 GPA for the year, while the team must combine for at least a 3.2 GPA to earn All-Academic Team laurels.
