HARRISONBURG, Va. James Madison women's soccer got off to a 2-0 lead in the first half but weren't able to answer three-second half goals by La Salle to finish with a 3-3 draw on Thursday night at Sentara Park.

With the draw, both teams' record now stand at 1-1-1 on the season. JMU took an 2-0 lead in the first half behind goals from redshirt junior
Ariana Reyes and senior
Sophia Verrecchia.

Amanda Attanasi posted her first score on the year on a header from Collins and Reyes in the second half, which saw all three La Salle goals from Ricshya Walker, Ella Cadigan, and Justyce Hollenbach.

How It Happened
- Reyes opened up the scoring in the 14th minute for the Dukes, threading a shot just in front of a La Salle defender and past the goalie to make it 1-0.
- Verrechia found the back of the net in the 21st minute to double the Dukes' lead, at 2-0 at the break.
- La Salle opened up the second half aggressively, netting two goals in the first five minutes to quickly tie up the match.
- The contest stood deadlocked for around 11 minutes until Attanasi headed a shot into the back of the net to put the Dukes back on top, 3-2, in the 60th minute.
- DeCerb kept JMU in front by making a trio of saves in the next 20 minutes of play.
- La Salle scored the equalizer in the 84th minute and kept enough pressure on JMU until the final horn to force the draw.
