HARRISONBURG, Va. – James Madison swim & dive came out of the pool victorious on Senior Day, taking down Richmond, 174-124, inside Savage Natatorium on Saturday.

Eleven of the 16 events were won by the Dukes, with senior
Alexa Holloway and sophomore
Kate Vitolo taking wins on the boards and seven Dukes winning events that was highlighted by senior
Grace Bousum's pair of victories. JMU also won the final event of the meet, the 200 Free Relay.

Diving
- Holloway won the 3-meter board, scoring a season-high score of 311.48 for her second NCAA Zone qualifying score of the season on the board. The Dukes swept the board, with junior Natalie Jones rattling off her season-high score of 295.13 for second place, followed by Vitolo's score of 274.80.
- The Dukes swept the 1-meter board, registering the top four scores of the event all with zone qualifying scores. Vitolo took first with a score of 297.45, followed by Holloway's 289.88 score and junior Maddie O'Mera's score of 277.65. Jones was just behind O'Mera at 277.35.

Individual Swimming
- Freshman Madison Wimmer got the individual swimming portion of the meet started with a win in the 1000 Free with a time of 10:32.40. Senior Abby Maguire finished second behind a time of 10:35.03.
- Bousum got her first win of the day by swimming a time of 1:53.92 in the 200 Free and was joined in the top-three finishers with sophomore Katelyn Fitzgerald, as she finished third with a time of 1:54.84.
- In the 100 Back, sophomore Sarah Pauley swam a time of 57.54 to take first.
- The first of three swimming events to be swept by the Dukes, freshman Maddy Coombs (2:05.07), senior Angela Ritchie (2:05.30) and redshirt senior Jess Pryne (2:07.24) finished top three in the 200 Fly.
- Picking up her second win of the meet, Bousum won the 100 Free with a time of 52.50 to headline a JMU sweep. Junior Jamie Cornwell finished a tenth of a second behind Bousum (52.60) and finished the same amount of time ahead of junior Alex Volk (52.70).
- Junior Riley Nugent took home a first-place finish in the 200 Back after swimming a time of 2:04.80. Pauley swam a time of 2:05.39 to finish third.
- The fifth overall individual sweep for the Dukes, Ritchie won the 500 Free with a time of 5:08.44 ahead of Maguire (5:10.02) and freshman Maddy Coombs (5:12.62).
- Wrapping up the individual events, Pryne won the 200 IM with a time of 2:06.39.

Relays
- The team of Pauley, sophomore Riley Bridgman, Volk and Cornwell finished second in the 400 Medley Relay with a time of 3:50.22.
- JMU won the 200 Free Relay with a time of 1:34.53 from the team of Bousum, Volk, Wimmer and Cornwell.

Up Next
The swimmers will head to the Cavalier Invite in Charlottesville, Va. on Feb. 6-8 while the divers will travel to Christiansburg, Va. on Feb. 7-9 for the Virginia Tech Invitational. Afterwards, the Dukes will go down to Orlando, Fla. for the Sun Belt Conference Swimming & Diving Championships on Feb. 19-22.
