SERIES HISTORY VS. GEORGE MASON
The Dukes own a commanding 56-20 lead in the all-time series against the Patriots, dating back to 1981.
JMU has won 20 consecutive matchups versus George Mason, and has not lost to GMU in Harrisonburg since 2002.
Last time the Dukes faced the Patriots, JMU used a 45-point second half to push itself past George Mason, 69-61, for its first road win of the season, on Dec. 20, 2021.
Kiki Jefferson led the Dukes with 21 points and 10 rebounds for her second double-double of the season. Claire Neff added 18 points while Jaylin Carodine led all players on the boards with 14 rebounds.
COACH O VS. THE COMMONWEALTH
Since Sean O'Regan took over the program in 2016-17, JMU is 40-5 (.889) against Division I teams from Virginia.
The Dukes went 3-0 last year versus Commonwealth opponents, with a win over VCU (55-42, Dec. 5) and two victories against Sun Belt foe Old Dominion (85-62, Feb. 1 & 66-53, Feb. 15).
James Madison's last loss to a Virginia team came in 2023-24 when the Dukes fell to Liberty, 67-53, in Lynchburg on Dec. 1, 2023.
JMU VS. THE A-10
James Madison holds a 198-79-2 (.715) record against current Atlantic 10 foes, while Head Coach Sean O'Regan is 12-3 (.800) versus the conference.
Coach O'Regan's three losses to the A10 came at the hands of Saint Joseph's (73-66 - Nov. 19, 2017), Dayton (82-54 - Dec. 17, 2017) and George Washington (54-50 - Dec. 2, 2021).
The Dukes have played Richmond the most with 91 meetings, with JMU holding a 60-29-2 advantage.
Last time the Dukes played a member of the A-10, four players scored in double figures, as James Madison dominated the fourth quarter en route to a 77-50 victory against Davidson at the Atlantic Union Bank Center in the opening round of the Women's Basketball Invitation Tournament last season on March 20.
