JMU HOSTS NORTH CAROLINA CENTRAL WEDNESDAY NIGHT

James Madison men's basketball returns home to host North Carolina Central on Wednesday, Dec. 3, at 7 p.m. inside the Atlantic Union Bank Center.
The meeting between JMU and NC Central will mark the second matchup between the two programs and first since a neutral-court bout in November 2009.
The Dukes enter this game with a 5-4 record, while NC Central sits at 3-6. Most recently, JMU fell 82-66 on the road against George Mason, while NC Central won 109-61 over Carolina University.

Wednesday's game will stream on ESPN+ with Curt Dudley (PxP), Kirby Dean (analyst), and Sara Kwitowski (sideline).

George Mason outscored James Madison men's basketball 50-31 in the second half to pull away for an 82-66 win over the Dukes on Saturday, Nov. 29, at EagleBank Arena in Fairfax, Va.
JMU (5-4) led 35-32 at the break, but George Mason (8-0) shot 12-of-19 (.632) from the field in the second half to come away with the win.
George Mason's Kory Mincy led all scorers with 25 points, one of four Patriots with 15 or more points. Bradley Douglas led JMU with 22 points - his third 20-point outing this season - while dishing out five assists.
Justin McBride scored 18 points – 16 in the second half – and knocked down three triples, while Eddie Ricks III grabbed seven rebounds to lead the team. Ricks III also added 11 points.

SERIES HISTORY

James Madison and North Carolina Central have met once before, a neutral-site meeting in Miami, Fla., on Nov. 23, 2009, a 79-66 JMU win.
JMU freshman guard Darren White led the Dukes with 20 points and nine rebounds. The game was part of the 2009 2K Sports Classic and was on the campus of FIU.

SCOUTING NC CENTRAL

North Carolina Central enters this contest with a 3-6 record in the 2025-26 season. However, they are 0-6 against Division I opponents - notching wins over Bluefield State (77-61), Toccoa Falls (123-67), and Carolina U (109-61).
The Eagles are led by Head Coach LeVelle Moton, who is in his 17th season leading the program. During his tenure, he has led NCCU to 281 wins - the most by a coach in program history.
During his tenure, NCCU has won the MEAC tournament and advanced to the Division I Men's Basketball Championship four times - most recently in the 2018-19 season.
The Eagles are led in scoring by Gage Lattimore, who is averaging 19.7 points in nine contests this season. Khouri Carvey joins Lattimore in double figures, averaging 15.6 points per contest. Lattimore scored 38 points against Bluefield State earlier this season.
Against Division I opponents, the Eagles are yielding over 87 points per game while shooting just 32.5 percent from the floor and 31.8 percent from behind the arc.
