GREENWOOD, Ind. – Three James Madison volleyball players were named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team on Tuesday, December 16.

Julia McNeley,
Rebecca Watkins, and
Grace Wenrich were named All-District by the CSC, which recognizes excellence on and off the court. McNeley was named to the team for the second straight season, while Wenrich and Watkins were recognized for the first time.

To qualify for All-District honors, a student-athlete must maintain a grade-point average of 3.50 or better and compete in at least 90% of the institution's matches OR have started at least 66% of the institution's matches.

A senior communication studies major, McNeley played in all 31 matches for JMU in 2025, leading the team in digs (470) and digs per set (3.76) on her way to a Third Team All-Sun Belt nod. The defensive specialist and libero wrapped up her career with the Dukes with 1,183 digs, which ranks seventh in program history.

Watkins, a junior Health Sciences major from Roswell, Ga., finished with 479 assists (4.84 per set) in the 2025 season. The setter played in 28 matches and 99 sets for the Dukes, also placing third on the team with 28 service aces.

Rounding out the honors for JMU was senior
Grace Wenrich, who set single-season career bests in assists (676) and assists per set (5.50), playing in all 31 matches.
