KANSAS CITY, Mo. – James Madison women's soccer forward
Ginny Lackey has been named a 2025 NCAA Division I Fourth Team All-American, United Soccer Coaches announced on Friday.
Lackey becomes the first player in program history to make two All-American teams, and the first to do so in back-to-back seasons, following her third-team honors in 2024. Her selection marks the first time a JMU player has been selected in consecutive seasons since 2007-08.
The Bolton, Manchester, England, native followed a stellar freshman campaign with a season in which she started all 19 matches, tallying 11 goals and 6 assists for 28 total points. Her attacking efforts earned her Sun Belt Offensive Player of the Year, marking the first time a Duke has earned major Sun Belt awards in consecutive seasons.
The sophomore's season was highlighted by a three-goal outing against Louisiana for the first JMU hat trick since 2012. Her performance earned her SBC Offensive Player of the Week honors and secured her a spot on TopDrawerSoccer's National Team of the Week.
The Dukes finished 2025 sporting a 9-4-6 record, going 5-2-3 in conference play and advancing to the SBC Quarterfinals as the No.5 seed.
