VILLANOVA, Pa. – James Madison swim & dive competed at Villanova inside the Villanova Swim Complex but fell, 186-113, on Saturday.

The Dukes earned five wins – sweeping the diving events, while sophomore
Madison Wimmer and senior
Alex Volk won individual swimming events and JMU finished the meet with a 400 Free Relay victory.

Diving
- Senior Maddie O'Mera turned in another 300-point performance on the 3-meter board, winning the event with a score of 303.75. Redshirt junior Natalie Jones followed her in second place with a 275.48 score.
- The Dukes swept the 1-meter board, with Jones (267.38) and O'Mera (262.35) going 1-2, followed by sophomore Emma LaFountain (257.03).

Individual Swimming
- Wimmer won the 200 Free with a time of 1:52.49 and also finished second in the 500 Free after swimming a time of 5:03.59.
- In the 100 Free, Volk won behind a time of 52.19. She also placed second in the 50 Free with a time of 24.17.
- The Dukes took both second and third places in the 100 Back, 100 Breast and 50 Free. For the 100 Back, it was courtesy of freshmen Maria Costa (57.87) and Emma Durham (57.91). In the 100 Breast, freshman Emma Dougherty came in second (1:05.98) and was followed by junior Riley Bridgman (1:06.48). With Volk taking third in the 50 Free, senior Jamie Cornwell finished ahead of her with a time of 23.97.
- Other top-three finishes include a second-place finish for sophomore Maddy Coombs in the 200 Fly (2:04.95) and a third-place finish in the 200 IM by Bridgman (2:08.50).

Relay Swimming
- JMU ended the day with a win in the 400 Free Relay, as the team of Wimmer, freshman Emory Hill, Volk and Cornwell swam a time of 3:27.71.
- To begin the swimming portion of the meet, the squad of senior Sarah Pauley, Dougherty, senior Ann Chappell Ellington and Wimmer finished second in the 200 Medley Relay (1:46.43).

Up Next
The Dukes have two dual meets coming up on back-to-back days. They first travel to Richmond on Friday, Jan. 23 for a 2 p.m. start before returning home for Senior Day on Saturday, Jan. 24 against Navy. The Senior Day meet is slated for diving to begin at 10 a.m., with swimming to follow at noon.
