O’Mera Tabbed American Diving Athlete of the Week

IRVING, Texas – James Madison swim & dive senior Maddie O'Mera was tabbed the American Conference Diving Athlete of the Week, the league announced Tuesday afternoon.
O'Mera and the Dukes faced off at Villanova in a dual meet on Jan. 17, with the senior coming away with a win on the 3-meter board and a second-place finish on the 1-meter board. On the 3-meter, she recorded her second consecutive 300-point performance as she scored 303.75 points. The next closest diver was 28.27 points away at 275.48. She then recorded a score of 262.35 on the 1-meter, good for second place.
The Glenview, Ill. native and the Dukes will return to the pool on Friday, Jan. 23 at Richmond before her and seven other Dukes are recognized on Senior Day against Navy on Saturday, Jan. 24 inside Savage Natatorium.
