JONESBORO, Ark. – James Madison led Arkansas State by as much as 18 (31-13) halfway through the second quarter, but the Red Wolves outscored the Dukes 65-44 over the final three periods for a 74-67 win in Sun Belt Conference women's basketball action on Sunday afternoon at First National Bank Arena.

A-State's (18-4, 9-1 Sun Belt) comeback was aided by Crislyn Rose's 22-point second half, with the team shooting 16-of-27 (.593) from the field and a perfect 14-of-15 (.933) from the line. Â Meanwhile, JMU (14-8, 6-4 Sun Belt) committed 16 turnovers in the final 20 minutes, which the Red Wolves turned into 21 points.

Peyton McDaniel led the Dukes' offense with 21 points, knocking down 5-of-11 (.455) from three-point range.
Ashanti Barnes finished with 13 points and 12 rebounds for her eighth double-double of the season.
Bree Robinson scored 14 points, recorded a career high in steals (7), and tied her career high in rebounds (6).
Grace McDonough chipped in with six points and tied her career high with five boards.

Rose scored a game-high 28 points on 9-of-14 (.643) from the field and tallied eight assists. Zyion Shannon was the only other Red Wolf in double figures, finishing with 15 boards to go along with five rebounds.

First Quarter – JMU 23, A-State 9
- The Dukes forced A-State to commit five turnovers by the first media timeout for a 9-4 edge early.
- Robinson came away with four steals and tied McDaniel with the team lead in points with six as the Dukes went on a late 12-0 run in the opening period.
- JMU shot 10-of-18 (.556) from the floor, going 3-of-4 (.750) from behind the line.

Second Quarter – JMU 35, A-State 25
- A-State was held to zero points for over three minutes as the Dukes went ahead 31-13 at the media timeout.
- Six Red Wolves scored in the second, with Rose dishing out four assists to cut the deficit to 10 (35-25) at the intermission.

Third Quarter – JMU 46, A-State 41
- A-State trimmed the Dukes' advantage to six (41-35) following a 6-0 run, forcing a JMU timeout.
- Rose outscored the Dukes 12-11 as the Red Wolves made four of their last five heading into the fourth.

Fourth Quarter – A-State 74, JMU 67
- Arkansas State scored two quick baskets to tie the game at 46-46 at the 9:32 mark.
- Shannon (12) and Rose (10) combined for 22 of the Red Wolves' 33 points in the fourth quarter. A-State managed to pull away by hitting 10-of-15 (.667) from the floor and 10-of-11 (.909) from the charity stripe.

- Arkansas State's 33 fourth-quarter points are the most by a JMU opponent in any quarter this season.
- Robinson notched her sixth career game with five-plus steals and has come away with at least five steals in the last two games. Additionally, her seven steals are tied for the second-most by a Duke in program history behind nine by Jess Cichowicz against Charlotte on Dec. 21, 2002.
