HARRISONBURG, Va. – James Madison baseball outscored Le Moyne 27-5 and set the single-game program record for stolen bases as it swept the doubleheader on Saturday afternoon at Veterans Memorial Park to secure a series sweep. The Dukes won game one 16-1 in seven innings before taking the second game 11-4.

The Dukes evened their record this season at 3-3, while the Dolphins slipped to 0-6.

Juniors Kyle Langley and Josiah Seguin led the way for the Dukes at the plate for the day. Both games combined, Langley went 5-for-8 with two runs scored, two stolen bases, three doubles and six RBI while Seguin went 5-for-7 with a double, three runs scored, three stolen bases and four RBI.

The first game saw freshmen Luke Alexander pitched five scoreless innings with six strikeouts, both season highs, to earn his first career win. Redshirt senior Tyler Muscar (1-1) earned the win in game two, starting on the mound and tossing five innings with six strikeouts. Both marks for the Centreville, Va. native are career highs.

JMU jumped out to an early lead and scored often, plating runs in five of the six innings they batted in with every occurrence being multiple runs.

The Dukes scored four in the first, two in the second, three in the third, five in the fourth and two in the sixth.

Langley and Seguin each went 3-for-4 with senior Jack Guerrero and freshman Cameron Aycock also adding a pair of hits each. Langley's first two hits went for doubles, as the Dukes combined for six for the most in a game since six against Richmond on April 4, 2023.

Fourteen Dukes stepped to the plate, with nine connecting for base knocks, as they scored their most runs in a game since scoring 22 at ETSU on March 9, 2024.

Le Moyne scored its lone run in the top of the seventh on a bases-loaded walk.
 Game Two | JMU 11, Le Moyne 4
Game two saw Le Moyne strike first, scoring on a two-run single in the first inning. The Dukes responded with four runs in the second inning, capped by sophomore Reece Moody's two-run single.

JMU added two more in the sixth on a Langley's third double of the day before freshman Keegan Haesler brought in a run on a sacrifice fly to make it 7-2 in the seventh.

The Dolphins used another two-run single to add bring them within three in the eighth, but the Dukes tacked on four runs in the home half of the inning to separate themselves again. Seguin laced a two-run single of his own and an RBI groundout and double steal of home sealed the 11-4 victory.

The double steal was a theme of the game, as the Dukes stole 13 bases during the game to set a program record. Aycock stole four of them, tying the individual single-game record.
 Game Notes
The Dukes have split the last five doubleheaders they have played, last sweeping a doubleheader on May 8, 2022 at Towson. Much like today, it was a seven-inning game one followed by a nine-inning game two.
JMU scored double-digit runs in all three games of the series, the first time it has scored 10 or more runs in three consecutive games since April 19-22, 2023.
The 40 runs scored in the series are the most by JMU in a three-game span since scoring the same amount March 1-4, 2022.
It is the most runs scored in a series since scoring 48 in a four-game series against NJIT on March 17-19, 2017. For a three-game series in extends back to March 9-10, 2013 when the Dukes scored 40 runs against Hofstra.
The previous single-game program record for stolen bases was set on March 25, 2012, as the Dukes stole 12 at Georgia State.
The last Duke to steal four bases in a game was Chase DeLauter against Elon on April 2, 2022.
For the fifth season in a row, the Dukes have swept their first weekend series at home.
