HARRISONBURG, Va. – James Madison lacrosse checks in at No.21 in the latest IWLCA Division I Coaches' Poll, as announced on Monday morning.
The ranking is a two-spot drop from their No.19 placement in the preseason poll.
This follows a 19-11 loss to No. 1 North Carolina on Friday afternoon. Despite a late push consisting of three-straight goals from junior
Kaitlyn Carney, JMU could not overcome the deficit and dropped its home opener.
JMU is the only team in the American to appear in this week's rankings.
The No.21 Dukes will continue their season at home this week, where they welcome Virginia Tech to Sentara Park on Wednesday, February 11. First draw is scheduled for 4 p.m.
