MOBILE, Ala. – The freshman duo of
Klára Sionková and
Emerson Elm took home top-25 individual finishes to lead the James Madison women's golf team at the Magnolia Collegiate on Tuesday afternoon.

Sionkova led the Dukes with a tie for 14th in the 79-player field, finishing with a 54-hole score of 227 (+11) and rounds of 75-75-77. Elm carded rounds of 75-77-78, producing a three-round tally of 230 (+14) to tie for 23rd while battling tough conditions on the par-72, 6,204-yard Magnolia Grove Golf Course.

As a team, JMU finished seventh of 14 teams in the tournament, recording rounds of 302-303-312 to finish at 917 (+53). South Alabama took home the team title, finishing with a score of 893 (+29). Isaki Sakashita of Stetson won individual medalist honors with a three-round score of 217 (+1).

Sophomore
Bella Flores (76-77-78) tied for 27th and No. 3 among JMU players with a 54-hole aggregate of 231 (+15), while
Grace Petzold (76-80-79) tied for 42nd at 235 (+19).

Amber Mackiewicz had a career-best tie for 45th, which included a season-low 74 (+2) in Monday's second round.

JMU will return to action on Saturday, March 28, at the Liz Murphey Collegiate in Athens, Ga.
