HARRISONBURG, Va. – James Madison men's tennis was ranked eighth in the final 2026 Intercollegiate Tennis Association Atlantic Regional rankings, the organization announced Wednesday.
The Dukes finished the year with a 13-8 overall record and went 3-1 during Sun Belt Conference play. JMU turned in a 6-1 record at home and posted a 4-2 mark against regional foes during the spring campaign.
It was JMU's first winning season since 2022-23 and the most wins since 2021-22, when it registered 14 triumphs. JMU was also seeded sixth at the SBC Men's Tennis Championship, its highest since joining the league four years ago.
This is the first time in two years that JMU finished inside the region's top 10 rankings, as it was ninth in 2024. It's also its highest regional finish since taking seventh following the 2018 season.
