DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION:
The JMU Athletic Ticket office facilitates ticketing services for all JMU athletic events, including game day ticketing and operations as well as advance sales and registration via phone, walk up and online. We work directly with other Athletics and University offices to coordinate efforts in marketing, fundraising, compliance, athletics communications and game operations. Members of the Athletic Ticket Office and exposed to all facets of college athletics.

INTERNSHIP/PRACTICUM OVERVIEW:
The position is available during the summer as well as the spring and fall semesters. Basic functions include assisting with ticket office operations for JMU Athletic events, including distributing, sales and accounting of tickets as well as event support and office duties.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.) Ticket Sales - Assist with online, window, phone, and mail orders for tickets and registration to all athletic events and special events.
2.) Assist with the execution of routine office procedures such as answering the telephone, ordering supplies, filling and typing correspondence.
3.) Assist in preparing mailing lists and sending renewal notices for season ticket holders.
4.) Responsible for functional knowledge of PC with Microsoft Office.
5.) Responsible for the functional knowledge and operation of Paciolan ticketing system.
6.) Assist in maintaining all bookkeeping functions of the ticket office.
7.) Assist with year-end audit of ticket sales.
8.) Assist with management of game/event operations.
9.) Supervise student employees.
10.) Perform other duties as assigned.
