- Played for head coach Izzy Santiago, Jr. and Padua Franciscan High School
- Bruins were 2011 sectional champions, 2010 North Coast League champions and 2009 district champions
- Three-year varsity starter with 20-7 career pitching record and career ERA just over two and 188 strikeouts
- Greater Cleveland Coaches Association and Northeaster Ohio Coaches Association All-Star as a senior
- Second Team All North Coast League as a senior after going 5-3 with a 2.10 ERA and 55 strikeouts in 48 innings
- Went 8-2 as a junior with a 1.95 ERA and 70 strikeouts in 62 innings to claim First Team All North Coast League honors
- 7-2 in first varsity season as a sophomore with a 2.25 ERA and 63 strikeouts in 53 innings to earn First Team All North Coast League honors
- Also played for Dave Kajganich and Team Ohio club team as well as Dave Pastors and Northern Ohio Baseball Collegiate Team
