At JMU: Joined the JMU staff before the 2009 spring practice period and coaches the team's safeties. Primary Recruiting Areas: Washington, D.C., and surrounding areas of Maryland.

Before JMU: Assistant coach at Valdosta (Ga.) State during the 2008 season, coaching the program's defensive backs and directing its special teams... Valdosta State in 2008 finished 9-3 and ranked 12th nationally in Division II... team ranked 31st nationally in total defense, 24th in scoring defense and 20th in pass efficiency defense and had an All-America free safety in 2008 in Sherard Reynolds... coached the strong safeties and rover backs in 2007 at Baylor as a graduate assistant... Baylor's Defensive Most Valuable Player as a strong safety in 2006 when he was honorable mention All-Big 12... second-team conference all-academic honoree... played in 42 games and started 24 as a four-year Baylor letterman... had 176 career tackles, 18 career tackles for loss and three career interceptions... on a 15-0 Texas 5A state title team at Mesquite High School.

Personal: Bachelor's degree in communications and a master's in sports management... engaged to Stacie Gonsalves, a law student at Howard University.
