2017 as a Senior: Played in 11 games, making eight starts at tight end… Received Hess-Green Award for second straight season... Had eight receptions for 81 yards and two touchdowns… Had two receptions for 30 yards in first game off injury against Norfolk State (Sept. 16)… Scored first touchdown of the season against Maine (Sept. 23)… Also had a score at Rhode Island (Nov. 4)… Made two catches against New Hampshire (Oct. 28)… Season-long 22-yard catch against NSU… STATS FCS Third Team Preseason All-American... Had 24 receptions for 322 yards and a team-best seven touchdowns… Tied for sixth in JMU single-season history in receiving scores... Ranked tied for second in the CAA in receiving touchdowns... Also had three more grabs for 22 yards and his first career touchdown at Elon (Oct. 17)... Season-long 15-yard reception against Stony Brook (Oct. 3)... JMU Athletic Director's Scholar-Athlete (Fall 2015).
2014 as a Freshman: Played in 11 games... Had six receptions for 91 yards... Caught two passes for 37 yards, including a 20-yard catch, in the win at Richmond (Nov. 15)... Also made two receptions for 25 yards, including a season-long 24-yard reception in win at Charlotte (Oct. 25)... First career catch, a 10 yarder, came at Villanova (Sept. 20)... Named to CAA All-Academic Team.
High School: Was a 2014 graduate of Strasburg... Played both tight end and defensive end in high school... Broke his leg in week 5 of his senior year, shortening his final season... As a junior had a team-best 17 receptions, 299 receiving yards and five touchdowns... Led the Rams with 96 tackles (66 solos) and two sacks in 2012, earning First Team All-Region B honors... Worked through the leg injury to be able to play basketball his senior year.
