A native of Atlanta, Jordan Thomas is in his second season as a graduate assistant at James Madison.
In his role, Thomas works as an assistant player development coach, aiding in the development of Terrence Edwards Jr. and Jaylen Carey in the 2023-24 season. He was key to JMU's historic 2023-24 season, where the Dukes upset then-No. 4 Michigan State in the season opener and produced a school-record 32 wins and a win in the first round of the NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Championship against fifth-seeded Wisconsin.
Before coming to JMU, Thomas spent a season as an assistant coach at Stockbridge High School in Stockbridge, Ga. As a player, he played five seasons at Georgia College and State University, where he is the program's all-time leading scorer at 2,220 points. He graduated from the school in 2021 with a B.S. in Exercise Science and a minor in physical educaton.
