Sarah Hilton returned to JMU in 2019 to serve as the head equipment manager for the men's and women's basketball teams. Hilton handles all of the equipment needs for both squads, including purchasing and outfitting each program.
Hilton previously worked in the equipment offices at JMU, handling duties for the baseball and softball teams before spending time at Wake Forest, where she worked directly with the volleyball, women's soccer, cross country and track & field teams in Winston-Salem.
Prior to coming to JMU for the first time, Hilton held an internship position at Marshall University working for their equipment department. Her duties involved the equipment needs of the Olympic sports with her primary focus being men’s/women’s basketball, soccer, and baseball. In 2014, she took another equipment manager internship position at the University of Alabama at Birmingham working primarily with their baseball team. She has also worked the SEC baseball tournament as well as the C-USA basketball tournament in the past.
Hilton graduated from Southern Arkansas University in 2013 with a bachelor’s degree in human performance with a concentration in sports management and a minor in health education.
Hilton is originally from Homer, La., and is also AEMA certified.
