Taylor Shirey is currently in her first year as an assistant director for athletics communications. In this role, she is the primary contact for softball, volleyball and swimming and diving while serving in a secondary role for both football and women's basketball. Along with serving as a contact for those sports, she develops and generates both written and video content for the athletics website including game recaps, interviews and feature stories.

Before accepting her current position, Shirey was an athletics communications associate at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) from 2015-16 serving a primary contact for indoor and beach volleyball, men's and women's soccer, softball while holding a secondary position for men's basketball.

Prior to UAB, Shirey served as a graduate assistant at the University of Louisiana at Monroe (ULM) where she served as a primary contact for softball and women's golf. Shirey began her career as a student assistant at Auburn University where she assisted with feature content for Auburn football while holding secondary roles with volleyball, softball, baseball and gymnastics.

A native of Sylvania, Ala., Shirey received her Bachelor of Arts in public relations with a business minor from Auburn in 2014.
