Alex Danas enters her sixth season as the Dukes' director of basketball operations after being hired on Aug. 25, 2020.
Danas, native of Middletown, Conn., enters her new role after serving as the graduate assistant in 2019-20. In her previous role, Danas assisted with travel operations including playing a major role in the 10-day European tour, organized recruits game schedules, coordinated post game meals and helped with preparation for unofficial and official recruiting visits.
Prior to becoming the graduate assistant, Danas was a student manager for the 2018-19 season. As a student manager, Danas setup necessary equipment for practice and home games, assisted in drills and filmed live play while also stepping in wherever needed in the office or on the court.
Danas earned her bachelor of science in sport management at Colby-Sawyer College in 2018 where she also played basketball for four years and served as the team captain her junior and senior campaigns.
She received her master of science in sport and recreation leadership from James Madison in May 2020.
