Tim Clark was named the Dukes' director of operations in July 2010, but he had a five-year association with the JMU program prior to his appointment in operations.
In 2009-10 Clark was a graduate assistant with the program after serving four seasons as head team manager with the Dukes.
As JMU's graduate assistant in 2009-10, Clark was in charge of film exchange, overseeing the student team manager program, ordering and maintaining equipment inventory and coordinating and scheduling the practice squad.Â
His work experience with the women's basketball program as a manager included assisting the coaching staff in executing the day to day operations of the program and extensive experience with film exchange and general office operation. He also completed a full-time full-credit internship as well as a 450-plus hour coaching education practicum with the program. Clark also completed a 90-hour undergraduate practicum with JMU's Office of Sports Media Relations.
In addition he has served as assistant camp director, league commissioner, site coordinator and camp counselor with Kenny Brooks Summer Basketball Camp and has been on the staff for the Matt Brady Elite Player Summer Basketball Camp, Hampden-Sydney College Basketball Camp and Anthony Grant Basketball Camp at Virginia Commonwealth University.
Basketball is a family affair for Clark. His sister is currently the head women’s coach at Harcum College in Bryn Mawr, Pa., and his father is the head women’s coach at Trinity College just outside of Tampa, Fla.
Clark earned a bachelor's degree in kinesiology from JMU in May 2009. His undergraduate concentration was in sports and recreation management and he completed minors in business administration and coaching education. Â
Clark received his masters degree from JMU in sport and recreation leadership in May 2011.
