Kenzie Tonn joined the JMU volleyball staff as a volunteer assistant coach in August of 2013.
She helped JMU to a 13-15 record overall and an 8-6 mark in the CAA in 2013. The Dukes reached the CAA Championship for the fourth straight year, the first time they had done that since 1997-2000. Three Dukes earned All-CAA honors in her first year with the team, including First Team All-CAA accolades for Lizzy Briones.
Tonn has served as a coach for the Circle City Volleyball Club in Plainfield, Ind., as well as an assistant coach for the varsity team at Heritage Christian High School in Indianapolis, Ind., since 2012. She also has experience working at collegiate volleyball camps at JMU, Virginia Tech, Kentucky, Illinois and Purdue.
Prior to joining Circle City and Heritage High School, Tonn worked with the Renaissance Volleyball Club as well as Carrick High school in PIttsburgh.
Tonn graduated from Robert Morris University in Moon Township, Pa., with a degree in sports management. She was also a member of the varsity rowing team at RMU. She played at Rutgers, and Robert Morris during her collegiate playing career.
