Joanna Cahi enters her first season as assistant women’s tennis coach after previously working as the assistant coach for both the men’s and women’s tennis programs at UNC Asheville.
During her tenure at UNC Asheville, Cahi organized and lead women’s team practices, taught individual stroke sessions, and administered strength and conditioning programs.
Prior to her college coaching experience, Cahi was a Resident Pro and Academy Coach at Van Der Meer Tennis Academy where she worked and traveled with top junior tournament players. She coordinated drill sessions, analyzed match play, and provided individual instruction to the athletes as well as designed basic strength and conditioning programs.
Cahi has coached around the globe as a Resident Club Pro at Next Generation Clubs in Cambridge, United Kingdom and as an assistant coach and manager at Mission Bay Tennis Academy in Aukland, New Zealand.
Cahi earned a bachelor’s of science degree in psychology from Aukland University in 2003 and became a Certified Tennis Professional through the Professional Tennis Registry in 2004.
