Khalil Mahtani enters his first season as a graduate assistant for the women’s basketball program for the 2026-27 season.
Mahtani returns after serving as one of the team managers from last year’s squad, as well as a practice player. As a practice player, Mahtani played a key role on the Dukes’ scout team during the program's Sun Belt Championship runs in 2023 and 2026. Prior to his time at JMU, he spent the 2021-22 school year at Division III Hardin-Simmons, where he was a guard for the Cowboys.
