NORFOLK, Va., Oct. 23, 2005 --.Junior Kurt Morsink's (San Jose, Costa Rica/IMG) overtime goal gave James Madison a 2-1 upset of nationally-ranked Old Dominion in Colonial Athletic Association men's soccer Sunday afternoon.
Morsink got past the ODU line of defense and placed a shot past senior goalkeeper John Connelly from 15 yards out. The deciding goal came 5:39 into sudden-death overtime.
The Monarchs entered the game riding a nine-game (8-0-1) unbeaten streak as well as a 32-match home regular-season unbeaten streak. ODU last lost a home regular-season game on Sept. 15, 2002, to Coastal Carolina.

The Dukes got on the board in the 8th minute. Red-shirt junior Mike Tuddenham (Cincinnati, Ohio/Indian Hill) sent a low cross to junior Jon Britton (Alpharetta, Ga./Pendleton, Fla. H.S.) in the box who tapped it past the keeper.
In the 61st minute ODU senior forward Brian Cvilikas (Highlands Ranch, Colo.) headed in a cross from Edson Elcock (Brooklyn, N.Y.) to knot the score at 1-1. Ross Mackenzie (Midlothian, Va.) also notched an assist on that goal.
