Towson, Md. – Sophomore third baseman Hans Falkenhan (Blake H.S./Silver Spring, Md.) hit two home runs for the second straight game and senior rightfielder Mark Chiccini (Pottsville Area H.S./St. Clair, Pa.) added three hits and five runs batted in as Towson University (20-17, 7-7) jumped to an 8-2 lead in the second inning and coasted to a 21-4 Colonial Athletic Association victory over James Madison University (16-23, 4-7) at John B. Schuerholz Park on Saturday afternoon.

The Tigers, who won their third game in a row, won their second straight game against the Dukes. Towson and James Madison close out their three-game CAA weekend series on Sunday afternoon at 1:00.

Scoring more than 20 runs for the third time this season, the Tigers pounded out 20 base hits and hit three home runs in the win. The 20 runs were the most allowed by the Dukes this season. Towson scored in every inning but the fourth and the eighth inning.

Falkenhan, who has hit four home runs in the two-game series against the Dukes, went two-for-three and walked twice. He scored four runs and had four runs batted in as he blasted a pair of two-run homers.

Chiccini had three hits in four at bats with five RBI's. He also scored three runs. Chiccini had two doubles and hit his eighth home run of the season.

After junior second baseman Mike Cowgill (Henry Clay H.S./Lexington, Ky.) gave James Madison a 1-0 lead in the first inning with a solo home run to rightfield, the Tigers wasted little time in taking the lead away. Senior shortstop Shane Justis (Bel Air H.S./Bel Air, Md.) led off the Towson first inning with a walk. Then, Falkenhan clouted a two-run homer over the rightfield fence, giving Towson a 2-1 lead.

A solo home run by freshman designated hitter Ryan Reid (Deering H.S./Portland, Maine) with two outs in the second inning enabled the Dukes to tie the game at 2-2.

In the bottom of the second, the Tigers broke the game open as they sent 11 batters to the plate while scoring six runs on five hits to take an 8-2 lead. Sophomore catcher Ryan Schreiter (Montoursville Area H.S./Montoursville, Pa.) led off the inning by drawing a walk. He scored the go-ahead run when junior second baseman Pat Fields (Hammond H.S./Columbia, Md.) smashed a triple off the top of the centerfield fence.
