TOWSON, Md., Nov. 3, 2007 ? Senior Allyson Halls (Columbus, Ohio/Olentangy) flirted with a triple double as James Madison University defeated Towson University 3-1 in a Colonial Athletic Association match on Saturday evening.
JMU (16-10, 7-5 CAA) defeated TU (7-21, 3-9 CAA) by game scores of 30-24, 30-15, 24-30, and 30-23. With the win, the Dukes swept the season series with the Tigers.
Halls had a match high with 15 kills and added eight digs and eighth blocks. She moved into fourth in career block assists at JMU along with ninth in season. Sophomore Kaitlin McFaddin (Natural Bridge Station, Va./Rockbridge) had 10 kills and four blocks. Junior Kelsey McNamara (Northbrook, Ill./Glenbrook North) added 10 kills and seven digs with a .444 attack percentage.
Junior Lauren Miles (Tampa, Fla./Tampa Prep) had 51 assists, eight digs, and five blocks for JMU. Senior Jena Pierson (San Antonio, Texas/James Madison) had 19 digs. Freshman Lindsay Callahan (Virginia Beach, Va./Landstown) had seven kills and 10 aces.
Maddie Haseltine led the Tigers with 13 kills and six digs. Katee Luecke had 21 assists and six digs. Kristina swan added 11 assists and five digs. Erika Swan posted 15.
JMU will be home for the final home weekend of the season next weekend with a 7 p.m. match on Friday against Hofstra and a 7 p.m. game against Northeastern
