SAPONG NAMED TO MEN'S SOCCER ALL-REGION TEAM

HARRISONBURG, Va., Dec. 10, 2009 -- James Madison men's soccer player CJ Sapong (Manassas, Va./Forest Park) has been named to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) All-South-Atlantic Region Team.
The junior forward is a three-time All-Colonial Athletic Association first team honoree. He led the CAA in points (1.75) and goals average (0.62) and was second in assist average (0.5). In the final NCAA national statistics he ranked seventh in points average, 16th in goals average and 17th in assist average. His season totals were 10 goals and eight assists for 28 points.
Sapong earned all-region honors for the first time.
