Scouting Report
- This is the seventh meeting between the two programs, as the Dukes enter the game with a 4-2 record while the Camels come to town sporting a 1-4 record.
- Although there have been six previous meetings, this is the first time in 31 years since JMU and Campbell have faced each other. In the last meeting on Dec. 9, 1983, JMU claimed a 63-61 overtime win at home against CU. The Dukes also leads the series 4-0 at home.
- Last time out, JMU saw its four-game win streak come to an end with a 73-56 defeat at 16th-ranked Ohio State in front of more than 14,000 fans in Columbus.
- Andre Nation scored a game-high 15 points in his return off the bench for the Dukes on 6-of-12 shooting, to go with three assists. Yohanny Dalembert (14) and Winston Grays (10) also scored in double figures and had personal season-bests of eight rebounds apiece.
- Despite the loss, JMU held the Buckeyes' No. 1 shooting offense to only 41 percent, which was 20 points lower than their season average.
- Campbell enters the matchup having lost four straight, including a 71-62 loss at Sacred Heart on Sunday. Reco McCarter, a VCU transfer, tallied 19 points off the bench in his debut for the Camels.
- JMU will have one more game prior to finals this Sunday at 2 p.m. when it hosts in-state foe Richmond at the Convo. It will be Military Appreciation Day with all veterans and military personnel being admitted free of charge.
