Scouting Report
- Saturday marks the 45th meeting between JMU and East Carolina but the first since the 2000-01 season when the ECU left the Colonial Athletic Association. The Dukes enter the game with a 6-2 overall record and 0-1 mark on the road while the Pirates come in at 4-5 on the year and 3-1 on home soil.
- JMU leads the series 33-11, including a 14-7 mark in Greenville. It has triumphed in its last eight trips to ECU and the last time these two teams met, JMU walked away with a 69-51 road victory on Feb. 5, 2001.Â
- The Dukes are off to one of their strongest starts in a few years, matching a 6-2 start they had four seasons ago when they went 21-12 overall on the year.

- The Dukes outscored the Spiders 7-2 over the final four minutes as they yielded the fourth-lowest point total of any Matt Brady JMU squad. Richmond shot just 36 percent and was outrebounded 39-27, including 15-3 on the offensive glass.
- Hari Hall led Madison with 12 points while Yohanny Dalembert added 10. Jackson Kent also brought down a game- and career-high 10 rebounds in the win.
- Through eight games, Kent and Andre Nation but average 12.0 points per game while Dalembert contributes 10.9 points and 5.4 rebounds. Ron Curry also leads the team with 4.8 assists per outing.
