BOZEMAN, Mont. - All 10 Dukes scored on Friday night, but James Madison dropped an 80-73 decision to Montana State in non-conference men's basketball action at Worthington Arena.

Joey McLean each racked up 15 points for the Dukes, who fell to 0-3 in the loss. Montana State improved to 3-1 with the win.
McLean kept his season average at 15 points per game in just 21 minutes, going 4-for-6 from the three-point line and 3-for-4 from the charity stripe, while Brown added eight rebounds and three assists, both game highs, to his 15-point evening.
Sophomore guard Tyler Hall racked up 24 points on 8-of-16 shooting to lead the way for the Bobcats, while freshman Harald Frey tallied 14 points of his own.
The Dukes won the rebounding battle, 43-40, marking the third straight game in which JMU has triumphed on the boards. Senior
Jackson Kent added nine points and six rebounds for the Dukes.
In all, JMU went 17-of-56 (30.4 percent) from the floor, but 29-of-38 (76.3 percent) from the free throw line. The Dukes also held Montana State to a 26.9-percent (7-of-26) performance from long range.

"We had a much better effort tonight, but we have to be more consistent than that. We communicated well and battled back, but we need to clean things up on the offensive end and take the next step."

The Dukes return home for a pair of games next week, starting with a Monday evening contest against Texas Southern at 7 p.m. on Nov. 21. The Tigers are 2-1 after besting Delaware State and Rice, but face La Salle on the road on Saturday, Nov. 19.
