HARRISONBURG, Va. – In the Dukes' final home match of 2016, James Madison men's tennis fell 5-2 to Drexel in Colonial Athletic Association action.
The Dragons (13-7, 3-2 CAA) swept the doubles point to take a 1-0 lead over the Dukes (9-10, 1-3 CAA) before winning four of the next five singles matches to clinch the victory.
JMU picked up its points at the top of the line-up. Junior Sebastian Salinas won 6-1, 7-5 at the No. 1 position over Xabier Saavedra to pull the Dukes back within one of the Dragons (2-1). Junior Brett Moorhead closed the morning with a three-set win (6-3, 4-6, 6-2) over Andrew Sinai at No. 2 singles.
The Dukes close out the regular season with their final CAA match before the conference tournament on Sunday, April 17 when JMU heads to William & Mary for a 1 p.m. contest.
