Poom Pattaropong matched his 54-hole career low at the Golfweek Program Challenge to lead the James Madison men's golf team as the Dukes finished tied for third after Tuesday's final round at True Blue Golf Club.

The Dukes, who shot under par as a team for the third round in as many days with a, finished their week at 22-under 842, just 10 shots back of Jacksonville, which prevailed over the 16-team field with a three-day total of 32-under 832.

JMU finished tied with Gardner-Webb, which climbed the standings with a final round of 14-under 272, the best of any team on Tuesday, and six strokes behind second-place Campbell (-28, 836). Jacksonville's David Wicks also took home individual medalist honors, shooting a 4-under 68 in his final round to take first place with a final score of 13-under 203.

Pattaropong picked up where he left off on Monday, firing a 4-under 68 on the final day of competition to finish at 7-under 209 for the week. The week's performance, which matched an identical score from his sophomore season at the Wyoming Cowboy Classic as the lowest of his career, saw him finish ninth in the 80-golfer field, marking the seventh top-10 finish of his collegiate career.

Ryan Cole closed out a remarkably steady week with his third straight round of 2-under 70, birdieing three of the final 10 holes to finished tied for 10th (-6, 210), giving him his seventh top-10 in his last nine tournaments. Sophomore
Shota Ozaki finished his own even-keeled tournament, following back to back rounds of even-par with a round of 1-under 71 on Tuesday that saw him finish tied for 24th (-1, 215).

Jack Floydd wrapped up JMU's scoring on the day with a 3-over 75 that put him tied for 47th (+3, 219) at tournament's end, while sophomore
Alex Henderson finished tied for 32nd (Even, 216) after a 5-over 77 on Tuesday.

-The Dukes maintained their dominance on Par 5's (-29, 4.61) throughout the week, finishing the final round with a five-stroke lead over the nearest competitor.

Ryan Cole was the biggest contributor to JMU's success on the course's five longest holes, playing them 3-under on Tuesday to finish the week with the field's best performance at 9-under with a 4.40 average.
-JMU posted more than 20 birdies for the third straight round on Tuesday. After picking up 25 on Sunday and 20 more in Monday's second round, the Dukes fired 21 in their final round to finish with 66 on the week, two more than the second-highest team total.

The Dukes will stay in their home state next week, when they head to The Country Club of Virginia in Richmond, Va. to take part in the VCU Janney Invitational. JMU is the reigning champion at the event after shooting a 7-under 857 across three rounds last season.
