- JMU hits the road for the first time since Dec. 17 after winning three straight home games.
- Senior guard Jackson Kent has the hot hand for the Dukes, scoring a career-high 30 points in the win over Drexel on Dec. 31 and 23 against Towson on Jan. 2. He made 18 of his 27 shots over the two games, a field goal percentage of 66.7 percent.
- The Dukes put in a solid defensive performance on Monday, holding the Tigers to just 32 percent shooting from the floor and 16.7 percent shooting from three-point range. Towson's 44 points were the fewest opponent points since Jan. 15, 2015 when JMU beat Drexel 54-35.
- JMU has improved its season team field-goal percentage to 44.0 after shooting above 40 percent the last four games, including 54.2 against Eastern Mennonite and 55.6 against Drexel.
