HARRISONBURG, Va. - Junior midfielder
Brittany Borum rifled home a 25-yard shot in the sixth minute of overtime on Thursday night to give James Madison a crucial 2-1, come-from-behind win over Drexel in Colonial Athletic Association women's soccer action at Sentara Park.
The win, which clinched a berth in the CAA Tournament for JMU, lifted the Dukes to 9-8 (4-4 CAA) on the year, while second-place Drexel fell to 10-6-1 (5-2-1 CAA) in the loss.
For the second match in a row, the Dukes erased a late 1-0 deficit, with sophomore
Haley Crawford burying the match-tying goal with just 9:02 to play to force overtime and give Borum a chance at the winner. On the evening, the Dukes outshot Drexel by a 15-8 margin, scoring the first two goals surrendered by the Dragons in the month of October, a span of nearly five complete matches.

81' | Crawford levelled things on her sixth goal of the year with less than 10 minutes to play after freshman forward
Ginger Deel saw her 12-yard half-volley parried by the keeper. The rebound fell to Crawford just inside the penalty spot and the sophomore ripped her first shot off the underside of the crossbar to square things at 1-1.
