NEWARK, Del. - Delaware scored a pair of goals in the second half on Sunday afternoon to hand James Madison a 2-0 loss in the Colonial Athletic Association women's soccer regular season finale at Grant Stadium. Despite the loss, which dropped the Dukes to 9-9 (4-5 CAA) on the season, JMU clinched the fourth seed in the CAA Tournament and the right to host a CAA Quarterfinal.

The Blue Hens (6-10-2, 3-6 CAA) were on the offensive for much of the contest, outshooting JMU by an 18-11 margin and putting six attempts on frame to the Dukes' two. Sophomores

Lizzy Lazzaro each notched a pair of shots for the Dukes to lead the team.

MATCH NOTES
- JMU's trip to the CAA Tournament will mark its fifth straight trip, with all five tournaments seeing the Dukes as a top four seed.
- Sophomore goalkeeper
Hannah McShea tallied four saves in the loss for JMU, while Delaware had two keepers each play 45 minutes and record a save each.
- The Dukes tallied double-digit shots in a match for the 16th time in their 87 matches this season and have not had fewer than eight shots in any contest. Dating back to 2016, the Dukes have posted double-digit shots in 32 of their last 34 matches.
