REHOBETH BEACH, Del. - Sophomore
Lauren Comegys fired a career-low 2-under 70 on Sunday, leading the James Madison women's golf team to a fourth-place finish at the UD Lady Blue Hen Invitational, hosted by Delaware at the par-72, 6,180-yard Rehobeth Beach Country Club.

Comegys posted the fourth-lowest score in the field on Sunday, using four birdies to better her previous career best by two strokes and vault 10 places into sole possession of 11th at the 60-player event. On the weekend, Comegys posted a 10-over 226, tied for the second-lowest 54-hole total of her collegiate career.

Seniors
Laura Gomez-Ruiz and
Maddisen Cox each closed their weekends inside the top 10. Gomez-Ruiz posted four birdies of her own as part of a final-round even-par 72 that put her at 221 (+5) and tied for fifth, the first top-five finish of JMU's season.

Cox finished tied for eighth at 223 (+7), picking up another four birdies to close with her second straight round of 1-over 73. Junior
Katie Turk (82-78-83; 243) and senior
Gabrielle Weiss (78-76-90; 244) closed out the JMU scoring in ties for 40th and 44th, respectively.

As a team, the Dukes posted their lowest round of the weekend, closing with a 10-over 298 to finish just one stroke behind third-place Harvard at the nine-team tournament. Across the weekend, the Dukes improved with each successive round for the second time in four events.

Playing individually, sophomore
Morgan Cox closed her tournament with a season-low 2-over 74 to climb 12 spots into a tie for 33rd, while freshman
Ella Woods posted a career-low 7-over 79 to move into a tie for 46th and sophomore
Joanna Keck moved into a tie for 56th with a final-round 89.
