HARRISONBURG, Va. – Sophomore
Manuel Ferriol kicked in his team leading seventh goal of the season which propelled the James Madison men's soccer team over Drexel, 1-0 in Colonial Athletic Association play on Saturday. With the win, the Dukes are the 2017 CAA Regular-Season Champions for the first time since the 2011 campaign. JMU finishes the regular season with a record of 9-6-3, 5-1-2 CAA.

JMU tallied 18 shots with 14 taken in the second half, while Drexel only got off one shot per half. The Dukes took six corners on the night, which was one more than Drexel. Redshirt freshman
TJ Bush racked up his fifth shutout of the season and improves to 7-4-1 on the year. James Madison ended the regular season going 4-0 in conference play.

Overall Thoughts…
"Give credit to Drexel for putting up a good fight, which made it very difficult for us to score. Our guys were frustrated through the first half because they did not get many opportunities to score goals but made some adjustments after halftime. Great job by everybody on the team and it feels great to be the regular-season CAA champions."

The Dukes will host the 2017 CAA Semifinals and Finals at Sentara Park on Nov. 10 and 12, respectively. JMU will face off against the winner of the William & Mary vs. Hofstra on Nov. 10 at Sentara Park.
