BOSTON, Mass. – James Madison fell short in a five-set Colonial Athletic Association volleyball contest to host Northeastern in the Cabot Center in Boston, Mass. on Saturday afternoon. The Dukes are 12-2 overall and 3-2 in CAA Play. The Huskies improve to 13-6 overall and 6-0 in CAA Play.
MATCH NOTES
- The Dukes lost, 3-2 in set scores of 26-24, 12-25, 25-21, 21-25, 11-15.
- Junior Bryn Recker set a career high in kills as she led the attack with 25.
- Liv Crawley followed Recker with 14 kills, which is a career high for the freshman.
- Sophomore Sarah Martin led the setting game, leading all players with 35 assists.
- JMU tallied 11.0 blocks to Northeastern's 4.0. Sophomore M'Kaela White led the Dukes with eight, followed by Martin who produced seven.
- Three Dukes tallied double-digit digs: Bryn Recker 19, Kelly Vahos 13 and Sarah Driscoll 13.
- JMU hit .248 for the match, while the Huskies had a .204 hitting percentage.
- Four Huskies produced double-digit kill performances with Amy Underdown leading the attack with 18.
DOUBLE-DOUBLE PERFORMANCE FOR RECKER
Junior,
Bryn Recker notched her third double-double of the season after her career high 25 kills and 19 digs. This is her 10th match she has produced double figure kills and her third in digs in the 2017 season.
