HARRISONBURG, Va. – James Madison (19-5, 10-5 CAA) recorded double-digit blocks for the third consecutive match, to sweep Northeastern (17-12, 10-6 CAA) on Friday night inside Sinclair Gymnasium in a crucial Colonial Athletic Association matchup.
MATCH NOTES
- JMU swept the Huskies in set scores of 25-20, 25-18, 25-12.
- Sophomore M'Kaela White led the Dukes at the net with five total blocks, bringing her season total to 134.0.
- Junior, Bryn Recker led the Dukes attack with nine kills on thirty swings.
- Taylor Gail followed Recker with seven kills and also contributed four blocks at the net.
- Sophomore setter, Sarah Martin led the Dukes in assists with 14.
- The Dukes hit .414 in the second set with a match high 14 kills on 29 swings only committing two errors.
- JMU held the Huskies to a .065 hitting percentage for the match.
- Senior defensive specialist, Taylor Austin led the Dukes backline with 23 digs, followed by Kelly Vahos who added 11.
- The Huskies were led by Amy Underdown who led their attack with 11 kills.

"Tonight was just a really big team win and I was excited to see our team healthy and playing together. I was proud of the backlines effort tonight as they made a couple good scrappy hustle plays to keep points alive. We are going to use the momentum from the sweep tonight over a talented Northeastern team to finish out the regular season strong. It's a great feeling knowing that we will be at home throughout the CAA tournament next week, so now our job is to play our best volleyball together as complete unit."

- For the fifteenth time this season, James Madison recorded double-digit blocks with 11 total, out-blocking the Huskies 11 to 6.
- The Dukes lead the league in blocks (177.0), averaging 2.95 per set. White is a top the CAA in blocks averaging 1.62 per set with 97 total blocks (7 solo blocks, 90 block assists).
- Martin also ranks in the top five in blocks among the league, averaging 1.25 per set.
- JMU has out-blocked its opponents 258.0 to 128.0, averaging 2.8 per set as a team.
