HARRISONBURG, Va. – James Madison women's basketball fell 73-66 to Saint Joseph's on Sunday afternoon as the Dukes fell to 1-3 on the year while the Hawks improved to 3-0.

After three lead changes and three tied scores, the Hawks were able to pull away in the fourth quarter with an 11-4 run that put them up by double digits.

Sophomore Kamiah Smallswas the lone Duke in double figures, reaching a career-high 22 points in her fourth straight double-digit scoring performance.

 HOW WE GOT HERE
JMU opened the game on a 4-0 run before SJU used a 13-2 run to take a seven-point lead into the first media timeout.
The Dukes came out of the break on a 9-2 run that tied the game at 15-all.
The Hawks led by as many as seven points in the first half.
JMU opened the third quarter on a 9-4 stretch, taking its first lead since the first two minutes of play at 44-43.
Saint Joseph's took the lead for good on a 7-0 run following a 48-all tie at the 3:33 mark of the third quarter. The Dukes would get within one possession just once in the fourth quarter.
The Hawks shot 50.9 percent from the floor, including a 6-of-11 showing from beyond the arc.
The Dukes scored 16 points off 19 second-chance opportunities.
 CONSISTENCY
Senior Hailee Barron played in her 105th consecutive game, now tied for the 14th-longest streak in JMU history with Sue Manelski.
 NUMBER HIGHLIGHTS
Kamiah Smalls added a season-high nine rebounds to her stat line.
Redshirt senior Tasia Butler pulled down a season-high eight rebounds.
Sophomore Devon Merritt tied a career high with two steals, adding to her nine points, two rebounds and a block in her first collegiate start.
